About FishTideTimes
FishTideTimes is a small independent website that puts the things you check before a fishing trip on one page: tide times, a tide chart, sunrise and sunset, moon phase, solunar windows and, where available, slack-water times.
Where the data comes from
Tide, water-level and current predictions are pulled live from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (NOAA CO-OPS) public API each time you open a station page. Sun and moon times are calculated in your browser. Full details and attribution are on the data sources page. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA.
Which stations are listed
We cover 399 stations: every tidal station in NOAA’s long-term water-level network, plus reference prediction stations chosen to fill gaps along the coast. We only publish a station page when NOAA has predictions for it.
How the site is built and funded
The site is built and maintained with the help of automated software tools, and every calculation is checked by automated tests against published reference values. It is free to use and may show advertising to cover running costs. Ads never change the data.
Not for navigation
Predictions are for planning only and can differ from real conditions. Do not use this site for navigation or safety-of-life decisions.
